Before beginning any project, I always review the project briefs thoroughly. This helps me to identify the tasks, costs, and timelines involved in the project

Our next steps involve onboarding project teams onto the Design Systems and Atomic Design 2.0 process.

We then workshop and plan ways of working between project stakeholders. This will ensure a smooth and collaborative workflow that leads to successful project outcomes.

As the UI lead, my responsibility is to organize internal design system workshops with the team to help them understand the process better and how it will impact their work

I conduct thorough research on competitors and immerse myself in inspiration and in the client's brand to curate a UI workshop that informs the style tile concept and ensures project goals are met.

I then create a style tile, or mood board, based on the Client UI workshop. This helps us ensure that we're all on the same page regarding the visual direction of the project.

At the same time I run sketching sessions with UX, strategy, project management, and development. It's always a collaborative effort to create the best possible outcome for our projects

I then create a design system from scratch that is informed by Atomic Design 2.0. This system will evolve with the UX as we start curating responsive UI designs.

During the design phase, I assist UX by creating wireframes, brainstorming, and defining technical requirements.

During the design phase, I am working closely with tech to ensure their oversight is maintained. My role involves assisting with the Jira workflow and creating Functional Specification documentation.

I work closely with content strategy to ensure that the UI and design system are able to accommodate the necessary content. It is important to ensure that the user experience is not compromised by any content-related issues.

I actively facilitate collaboration activities and identify important project touchpoints to ensure smooth communication and cooperation among team members.

As lead, presenting work and managing client discussions and feedback are a big part of my role. It's important to effectively communicate our progress and address any concerns or feedback from the client to ensure their satisfaction with the final product.

During the production phase, I conduct weekly briefings and reviews for front-end and back-end development. We may face design system challenges, but we can collaborate to solve them in Build and Figma.

As the completion of a project draws nearer, I step in to assist content creators by procuring and producing digital resources that will elevate the final result.
